Echo is a loving, energetic Shih Tzu who loves chasing tennis balls and he needs surgery ASAP!

A photo taken during our trip home in August.
This is Echo.  He has a pair of stones in his bladder & they will continue causing pain and bleeding until they are surgically removed.  I’m a student with no money, and after spending my entire $1200 tax return on diagnostic testing and treatments that didn’t pan out, I’m out of options. The surgery is going to cost $3000, and I desperately need your help to raise this money.  Please, help if you can. Any amount at all would be greatly appreciated.  If you can’t afford to donate, please spread the word so that those who can donate will hear Echo’s story.
Thank you and I hope you have the loveliest Sunday.  ♥

For those who don’t know me, my name is Tatiana, and I am a writer as well as a student.  I have been a writer all my life, but it took me 25 years to figure out that I wanted to pursue it as a career.  I am currently going for a degree in Creative Writing, and if I can get a scholarship to cover my journey there I will be in the 2016 Alumni of UC Berkeley.

Enough about me though – here is why I have decided to ask for your help:  I think imagination is immensely important.  Simple as that.  As a child, I didn’t have a chance to dream much, and my imagination was strictly controlled; I could believe in the Christian god and the Bible, but was not permitted to believe in anything outside of the strictures within that limited book (Santa Claus, Halloween, etc.).  If it was not in the Bible than it did not exist because God did not create it.  Let’s be honest, that’s not exactly encouragement for any growing imagination.

There were people in my life, however, who encouraged me to dream, and who carefully and subtely stoked the fire of curiosity within me.  These people would give me books with stories I otherwise might not have read, cards with little Halloween characters on them that I may never seen, and showed me wonderful movies I may never have gotten to watch.  These rebels in my life set fire to my imagination in ways that would not have been possible without their influence, and that is definitely something to be encouraged at all costs.

That is exactly what the Office of Letters and Light does for people of all ages: it encourages all of us not only to use our imaginations, but to do something amazing with them – to create something and share it with others.  That is an amazing thing and something worth continuing.

So in the spirit of imagination, of creating something beautiful with words that might transport anyone into another world lovingly spawned by a writer, I ask that you support the Office of Letters and Light in their mission to inspire writers of all ages all over the world to continue their quest toward telling the stories that would otherwise be lost.  Every little bit helps, so please donate today!
